The success of a project depends on dozens, if not hundreds, of individual items falling into place at the right spot and at the right time. And thanks to our state-of-the-art cloud-based collaboration tool, you’ll be kept fully aware of the status of each phase of the project from pre-construction through to final inspections. Here’s a little sampling of how we do that.
INFO WHEN YOU WANT IT
Our Clients have access to a customized portal, available via web browser and our mobile device app, in which all project details are presented in a clean, easy to understand manner.
Tasks such as messaging with our project team members, viewing the phased construction schedule, viewing and checking off to-do’s, approving fixture and finish selections, viewing progress photos, even paying invoices electronically can all be done from our app!
Read on to understand specific highlights of how our tool will add to better communication and less confusion.
RECEIVE DAILY UPDATES VIA EMAIL
At the end of each workday, you will receive a detailed email from your Wyanoke Builders construction manager. The email will document what work was completed on that day, whether any unforeseen obstacles were encountered, which of our craftspeople were on site, and what tasks are scheduled to begin next. The daily log will likely include photos and/or videos showing the progress of work on site that particular day!
Whether you’re away on vacation or business, or simply arrived home too late to walk the job site, you’ll no longer need to wonder how things are going. Simply check your computer or phone for our updates!
Real-Time Schedule Updates
Because a timely project is just as important as a cost-effective project, your Wyanoke Builders project team will periodically update the phased project schedule based on the actual progression of work on site.
Our schedules go beyond just the documentation of on-site activities by also identifying deadlines for to-do’s, selections, and scheduled payments.
If you’re curious about what work will be happening next week, excited about when the backsplash tile will arrive, or just curious when all the work will be done so you can host a get together in your new house - simply log into our web-based collaboration system to access the phased schedule.
WHAT? WHERE? HOW? WHEN?
Bathrooms require tile, toilets, and faucets. Kitchens require appliances, cabinet knobs, and countertops. Researching and buying these items can be fun and exciting (who doesn’t enjoy a little bit of retail therapy?!) but how do you make sense of the hundreds of options available to you?
Using the Selections module of our cloud-based tool, we will identify and document the fixtures and finishes our Clients must select and provide for installation by our craftspeople on site. Based on our knowledge of the project, we’ll provide sizes and dimensions, required quantities, functional guidelines, and deadlines for each required item. After all, an informed consumer makes for a great Client.
Transparent COST MANAGEMENT
Wyanoke Builders prides itself on preparing detailed scopes of work for each project and executing contracts based on fixed, not-to-exceed values – removing a significant point of financial risk and concern for most Homeowners.
Unless a Client alters the scope of their project or a significant unforeseen condition is encountered that must be addressed, we guarantee to complete each project for the quoted price. Any changes will be documented in our web-based system and emailed to the Client for review, comment, and approval.
From a phone or computer, our Clients can simply and securely make payment on any invoices. Yes, no need to look for your check book ever again!
A SIMPLIFIED punch list procesS
Though Wyanoke Builders will prepare its own punch list, it is inevitable that our Clients will identify other items that need to be addressed once they actually start using the renovated spaces.
In these instances, our Clients can log into our web-based system, add a description of the item needing repair and include a photograph for clarity. Once an item is added, the Wyanoke Builders team is notified and can go about scheduling the necessary repairs. Once the item is rectified, a photo of the completed item is uploaded into our system and the item is marked as closed.
We’re by no means perfect but we strive to create a higher standard.
